ARTIST BIO~
Carmen Van Ameringen is a mixed media artist with a strong interest in woodworking, watercolor, oil, and acrylic painting, as well as charcoal drawings. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Kennesaw State University and has been crafting two and three dimensional works of art for the past 10 years. Carmen is a native to Atlanta and has primarily worked and studied in Georgia. Being raised in an artistic family, Carmen’s passion for painting and art were greatly inspired by her oil painting mother and grandmother. She is an active member in the Kennesaw State University Sculpture and Nature Bound Clubs. Carmen won first place in the state level 2009 PTA Reflections Annual juried art competition for her “Wow” Maori charcoal drawing. The piece was consequently hung in the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2010 she traveled to New Zealand and worked on landscape painting and spent time with the renowned oil painter, Graham Braddock. Carmen paints and sculpts to inspire and bring joy to the viewer.
